| Lisa earned her state certification as a music teacher in 1989 and is experienced as a public school music teacher. She taught through the Preparatory School of Music and Dance at Vermont College for approximately 10 years, from January of 1987 until the fall of 1996, including private lessons, group classes and ensembles, and camps. She was very actively involved with the transitions of the music school in becoming the independent Monteverdi Music School, including serving as treasurer during the interim, contributing the school's slogan, "Bringing Families and Friends Together Through Music," and contributing to the formation of the school's mission statement. Once the new music school was established she opted to teach independently from her home to be near her young children. She has maintained an active independent teaching studio since that time, including group classes, flute choirs, chamber ensembles, and flute camp, while homeschooling her two children. |
